Longnose Gars are found in the east coast of North and Central America. Although longnose gars have a relatively long life span, the female usually outlives the males by 10 years! Female Longnose Gars can live up to 22 years whereas males usually don’t live more than 11 years. These fish are ambush predators and often stalk their prey before attacking.
